Distribution, density, mobility, separation, motion, visual, light, shadow, reveal, illusion
This final exercise combines the techniques and 3d skills acquired throughout the semester. This will amalgamate the initial exploration of the boundaries of nature and how it outlines the spatial limits of the resource, spatial dynamics and the physical feature that defines the separation, complexity and flexibility of the object. The second exercise extends the investigation of this boundary of nature by exploring spatial disorientation, the ability or inability for the human body to determine his true body position, motion, and altitude relative to the earth or his surroundings. How do the boundaries of nature perform in this situation to give direction and support all aspects of life? Would visual misinterpretations or illusions affect us? Without a doubt, the light and shadow reflected upon objects around us plays the role of unveiling the ‘fence’, hence the choice of monochromatic images, the shades, tones and tints of these images reveals the boundaries of nature.

This exercise explores how the spatial boundaries of nature are closely connected with one’s spatial orientation. Spatial orientation is being able to maintain our body position in relation to the environment around us either when moving or still. Most clues with respect to orientation are derived from sensations received from the 5 senses. The boundaries of nature perform as a fence to give direction and support all aspects of life, large and small. Often determined through visual information, the boundaries of nature indirectly assist with daily on-goings, which enables us to experience life as we experience it.
